VW Gol and Fiat Palio lead the ranking of most searched used cars on OLX in 2025

A survey released by OLX reveals that the Brazilian consumer of used cars maintained a conservative behavior in 2025, prioritizing mechanical reliability and cost-effectiveness. The ranking of the most sought-after vehicles on the platform during the past year was led, once again, by Volkswagen Gol, reaffirming the strength of the model even after the end of its production.

The list consolidates the preference for popular hatches that marked an era. The Fiat Palio occupies the second position, forming with the Gol a duo that, for decades, competed for the leadership of sales in the country. The podium is completed by the Toyota Corolla, which stands out as the most desired medium sedan, surpassing its direct rival, the Honda Civic, which appears soon after, in fourth place.

Tradition and ease of maintenance

The composition of the top-10 shows the search for liquidity and ease of maintenance. In addition to the leaders, there are established models such as the Fiat Uno (5th) and the Chevrolet Celta (9th), vehicles known for their robustness and wide range of parts in the parallel market. Among the SUVs, the Toyota Hilux (6th) and the Fiat Strada (10th) show the strength of the work and leisure segment.

According to Flávio Passos, vice president of Autos at the OLX Group, the ranking reflects the rationality of the used buyer. “The survey shows the strength of national and imported vehicles with tradition in the Brazilian market and the search for cost-benefit”, analyzes the executive. The presence of models such as the HB20 and Onix, although more modern, below the veterans, suggests that the final price is still the decisive factor.
