EX30 Cargo serves fleets in the UK by offering up to 1,000 litres of cargo capacity, cabin luxuries and a 433 hp engine
Volvo has transformed its electric compact SUV, the EX30, into a van aimed at the European corporate market. Named EX30 Cargo and initially launched in the United Kingdom, the adaptation deviates from the rule of the light utility segment by maintaining the rigorous premium standard of finish and delivering sports car performance, reaching 100 km/h in an impressive 3.6 seconds in its top configuration.
The conversion of the passenger model to a cargo vehicle focused on everyday practicality without giving up sophistication. To adapt the SUV to transport in large urban centers, the Swedish automaker removed the row of rear seats. With the structural change, the volume of the compartment jumped from 318 to 1,000 useful liters, accommodating up to 390 kg. The cargo area also received new attachment points, a greater opening angle on the doors and tinted rear windows, ensuring the privacy and safety of goods transported by luxury fleets.

Despite the vocation for heavy work, the engine continues to be the great attraction of the project. The EX30 Cargo inherits the conventional electric platform, offering three power configurations ranging from 152 hp to a hard-hitting 433 hp. The latter, equipped with all-wheel drive, guarantees fulminant acceleration. The operating range is supported by two battery options: a 51 kWh version, enough for 321 km, and an extended 69 kWh package, which guarantees up to 482 km of autonomy.

In the cab, the driver enjoys perks rare in commercial vehicles. The list of standard equipment includes multimedia with wireless cell phone mirroring, adaptive cruise control, parking assistant and LED headlights. The most complete versions add refinements such as a sound system signed by Harman Kardon, seat and steering wheel heating, two-zone air conditioning and induction charger. An adventurous variant, called Cross Country Cargo, with raised suspension, also completes the portfolio.
Marketed through direct sales channels in the United Kingdom, the model has prices starting at £36,010 (about R$ 252 thousand in direct conversion), targeting companies that seek to associate their operations with electrification with a lot of status.
