Toyota made official the arrival of the 2026 line of the Hiace van to the Brazilian market with a clear positioning: to attack the last mile urban logistics segment. Imported from Argentina, the model debuts with a suggested price of R$ 304.990 and brings as its main commercial asset the homologation to be driven by drivers with CNH category B – the same used for passenger cars.

The strategy aims to facilitate the operation for companies and self-employed individuals, eliminating the requirement for a professional license (categories C or D) common to vehicles of this size. The Hiace shares the mechanical robustness of the Hilux pickup, being equipped with the 2.8 turbodiesel engine. In the van, the engine delivers 174 hp of power and 45,8 kgfm of torque, always coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

Designed to circulate in large centers, the Hiace offers a cargo volume of 9.3 m³ and the capacity to transport up to 1,055 kg. An important technical differential is the height of 2.28 meters — a measure that allows access to most garages in shopping malls and commercial buildings (usually limited to 2.30 m or 2.40 m), facilitating unloading.

To speed up operation, the van has a sliding side door and split rear doors with 270° opening. The turning radius of 6.9 meters promises to facilitate maneuvering on narrow roads.

Inside, the focus is on functional ergonomics. The raised panel houses a 9-inch multimedia center with basic connectivity (Bluetooth and USB). The standard safety package includes three airbags (two front and one knee for the driver), electronic stability control (VSC) and ramp start assistant (HAC).

With an eye on the corporate customer, Toyota offers the first three free revisions. In addition, the model is eligible for the “Toyota 10” program, which can extend the vehicle’s warranty for up to ten years, as long as the revisions are carried out in the authorized network.
