Electric SUV combines Japanese technology and AllGrip-e system to face difficult terrain; sales start soon
Suzuki started a new chapter in Brazil with the presentation of the e-Vitara, its first 100% electric SUV that seeks to maintain the name of the brand’s iconic jeep. The model, which preserves the Japanese manufacturer’s 4×4 DNA, arrives in the country in a single version, the 4Style 4×4, with arrival at dealerships in the coming weeks. The official price is still being defined.
An icon of versatility since 1991, the Vitara renews itself in a generation that abandons combustion, but maintains structural robustness. The mechanical set consists of two engines: a front engine of 174 hp and a rear engine of 65 hp. Combined, they deliver 184 hp of power and 31,2 kgfm with all-wheel drive, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,4 seconds.

The autonomy is 293 km, according to Inmetro standards, guaranteed by 61 kWh lithium-ion batteries. For fast recharging, the e-Vitara supports systems up to 150 kW, capable of raising the battery level from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes. In conventional 7 kW chargers, the complete recharge cycle takes nine hours.
Built on the new HEARTECT-e platform, the model uses 50% high-strength steels. The technological highlight is the AllGrip-e system, an evolution of all-wheel drive for the electric world. In Trail mode, aimed at off-road, the system automatically identifies wheels without grip and redistributes torque to the driven wheels, making it easier to get out of slippery terrain such as mud or snow.

Inside, the environment features a 10.25″ digital panel integrated with the 10.1″ multimedia center, with wireless connection for smartphones. The 2.7 m wheelbase and the sliding rear seat allow you to modulate the trunk by up to 310 liters. The safety package includes 360º cameras, autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control and blind spot alert.
