Automotive conglomerate confirms production of Jeep Avenger and Ram Dakota after surpassing million million barrier in South America
The Stellantis group ended 2025 with a regional record, becoming the first automaker to surpass the mark of 1 million vehicles sold in a single year in South America. The result consolidates the company as the leader of the South American market for the fifth consecutive year, with a market share of 22.6%.
In Brazil, the main market in the region, the company registered more than 750 thousand registrations, guaranteeing 29.3% of total sales. Fiat remained the best-selling brand both in the national and South American scenarios, driven by the performance of the Fiat Strada pickup, which was once again the most sold model in all segments.

The annual balance also highlights the company’s hegemony in the light commercial vehicle sector (vans and pickups), where it holds a 31% share in South America. In addition to the Strada, models such as the Fiat Toro and the Ram Rampage led their respective categories.

The year 2025 also marked the debut of the Chinese brand Leapmotor in the group’s portfolio, with 1,200 units sold in less than two months of operation in Brazil. Peugeot and Citroën recorded sales growth driven by the renewal of ranges and the introduction of hybrid models.
For 2026, Stellantis projects the launch of 16 new products in Brazil, including the unprecedented Jeep Avenger and the local production of hybrid models with Bio-Hybrid technology in Goiana (Pernambuco). In Argentina, the Córdoba Industrial Complex will start manufacturing the new Ram Dakota and Fiat Titano.
