Stärke's craftsmanship unites the classic design of the Porsche 356 with the modern engineering, technology and performance of the 718 platform
An icon of automotive design, the Porsche 356 is remembered for its curved lines, athletic stance and elegant chrome accents. Produced between 1948 and 1965, the model inspires contemporary reinterpretations that seek to preserve its classic aesthetic without giving up modern technology. It is in this scenario that the Gen 2 Speedster appears, developed by Stärke Motor Company, a company based in Missouri, in the United States.
The model is built on the platform of the Porsche 718 sports cars, marketed between 2017 and 2025. Stärke uses 3D scanning and computer-aided design to create a custom body that fits the original chassis while retaining Porsche’s transmission, suspension, and safety structure components.

The look refers directly to the 356 with longer and lower proportions, round headlights, chrome trim, hood strip and oval taillights. The main aesthetic difference is the air intake positioned in front of the rear wheels, which was inspired by the layout of the 718.
The Gen 2 Speedster can receive the same engines as the Cayman and Boxster: 2.0 turbocharged boxer with 300 hp, boxer turbo 2.5 with 350 hp and naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer with 394 hp, from the Cayman GTS 4.0. Transmission options include a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a six-speed manual.
Even with the classic look, the model maintains modern driver assistance systems, in addition to comfort items such as heated seats and steering wheel and an electric soft top. Handcrafted and with a high level of customization, the Gen 2 Speedster starts at US$ 135 thousand (R$705 thousand) with a donor car or US$ 189 thousand (R$ 987 thousand) with a base vehicle provided by the company, with a delivery time of up to six months.
