Ram started to offer in Brazil a factory-approved armor service for the Rampage, 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups. The initiative, which fully preserves the original three-year warranty of the vehicles, seeks to serve a portion of consumers who demand reinforced safety without giving up the reliability and technical specifications of the North American brand.

The certified armor is level III-A, the highest civil protection standard currently authorized by the Brazilian Army. The classification ensures resistance against firearms such as pistols, 9 mm submachine guns and .44 revolvers. The structure added to the trucks includes the application of aramid blankets, installation of armored glass and the adoption of structural reinforcements in ballistic steel at sensitive points.

The consumer finds two ways of acquisition: buy an already armored pickup available in the dealerships’ stock or order the installation for a new or semi-new vehicle. For used units, a rigorous prior official technical evaluation is required. In on-demand services, the delivery time varies from 30 to 45 working days, counted only after the release of the Army.

The approval of the service is the result of a partnership with four of the main armoring companies in the national market —Avallon, Evolution, Hi-Tech and Totality—, all members of Abrablin (Brazilian Armoring Association). To receive the seal of approval from Stellantis, Ram’s controlling group, the companies had to meet 43 engineering criteria, in addition to having international quality certifications, such as ISO 9001. The automaker warns that services performed outside this accredited network result in the loss of the factory warranty.

From a technological point of view, the main differential is the recalibration of the ADAS (advanced driving assistance) system. Accredited companies ensure that all safety sensors operate flawlessly after the intervention. Parts modified during the process, such as glass machines, gain five-year coverage from the partners themselves.

In the financial sphere, the brand allows the cost of armoring to be included in the financing of the zero-kilometer vehicle. As a commercial incentive, buyers who purchase the pickups and order the approved protection by May 11, 2026 will have the first three revisions free of charge – an advantage that does not apply, however, to models already armored from stock.
