Pickup hits the market with two versions, 200 hp 2.2 turbodiesel engine and first registrations aimed at the dealership network
Shortly after being presented at the end of 2025 and starting the pre-sale phase in January, the new Ram Dakota has already become more expensive. Even before arriving at the garages of the first buyers, the pickup underwent significant readjustments in its table. The Warlock and Laramie versions jumped from R$ 289.990 and R$ 309.990 to R$ 299.990 and R$ 322.990. In practice, this represents an increase of R$ 10 thousand and R$ 13 thousand, respectively.
In addition to the direct impact on the pocket, those who decide to close the deal now will need to exercise patience. Dealerships estimate that new orders are expected to be delivered only in June, setting up a waiting list that can reach up to four months, according to Autoesporte magazine.
On the streets, the presence of the pickup truck is still restricted to the backstage of the automaker. According to Fenabrave (National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution), Dakota registered 25 registrations in January and 81 in February. This volume, however, is not ready for delivery to the final consumer, but test-drive units sent to supply the dealership network itself across the country.

Under the hood, the manufacturer’s strategy bets on synergy: the Dakota shares a platform with the Fiat Titano and adopts the 2.2 turbodiesel engine with 200 hp and 45,9 kgfm — a set already established in the Jeep Commander and the Ram Rampage. With an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction, the pickup does 9.7 km/l in the city and 10.8 km/l on the highway. For work, it supports 1,020 kg of cargo and 2,210 liters in the bed, offering Normal, Sport, Sand & Mud and Snow driving modes.
The catalog was designed to meet two profiles. The Warlock version bets on a purely off-road look, with 17-inch wheels and all-terrain tires. Laramie focuses on urban and luxurious appeal, with chrome details, 18-inch wheels and brown leather interior trim. Both feature a 12.5″ multimedia center, 540° camera, two-zone air conditioning and a complete assistance package, with adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.
