Debut takes place with Laramie and Warlock versions; model shares platform with Titano, but promises superior finish
Ram starts this Wednesday (21) the pre-sale of the new Dakota in the Brazilian market, marking the return of a historic name to the brand’s portfolio. The medium pickup initially arrives in the Laramie and Warlock versions, both driven by the 2.2 turbodiesel engine with 200 hp and 45,9 kgfm of torque, always coupled to the eight-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction with reduced.

The pricing strategy puts the Dakota in a specific niche: above the Rampage R/T (R$ 272.990) and its platform “sister”, the Fiat Titano Ranch (R$ 285.990). According to the Autos Segredos website, The expectation is that the Warlock version will have a starting price of around R$ 290 thousand. In the future, the line will be expanded with the Big Horn entry option and the Laramie Night Edition configuration.

Although it shares the structure with Titano, Ram invested to give the model its own identity and distance it from the Fiat pickup. Hood, bumpers, grille and headlights are exclusive. The top versions sport the brand’s traditional chrome grille and a front LED bar with a welcome light signature, in addition to a gas spring system to support the hood, an item absent from the competitor.

The equipment package reinforces the more sophisticated proposal. The Dakota features 18-inch alloy wheels shod with 265/60 tires, body-colored fender flares, side running boards and marine canopy as standard in the upper configurations. The rear has full LED taillights, a bucket lid with damping and disc brakes on all four wheels. The technical capacity remains robust: 1,020 kg of payload, 1,210 liters of volume in the bucket and towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons.

Internally, Ram sought to justify the price tag with a superior finish. The digital panel is integrated into the multimedia center, and there is extensive use of synthetic coatings, quilted materials and piano black details. The comfort list includes electric front seats in genuine leather, two-zone digital air conditioning, induction charging and electronic parking brake, raising the bar compared to the original Titano design.
