Porsche's new premium luggage line uses a rivet-free structure and a design reminiscent of the classic 911 Targa
Porsche Design presented its new collection of luxury suitcases, the Roadster Aluminum Trolley, which seeks to refer to the engineering and aesthetics of sports models in the travel segment. With a global launch this month, the line uses materials and manufacturing processes identical to those applied to the German brand’s vehicles.
The main technical differential lies in the anodized aluminum structure. Unlike conventional suitcases, the assembly does not require the use of rivets, resulting in a piece of greater torsional rigidity and durability. The design of the side ribs is not merely aesthetic: the concave shape was inspired by the roll-over bar of the iconic Porsche 911 Targa, and also serves to reinforce impact resistance.

Available in silver or black, the collection consists of three sizes: cabin (small), medium and large. All versions have ergonomic aluminum handles and wheels with double bearings for easy movement. To reinforce the exclusive character, the brand offers leather-covered top handles, which can be customized with different colors for an additional cost of $135.
The exclusivity, however, is reflected in the price. In the international market, the complete set is sold for US$ 5,450. Individually, prices start at US$ 1.650 for the cabin model, reaching US$ 1.950 in the larger version. Replacement items, such as the set of wheels, range between US$ 135 and US$ 145.
