The BMW iX3 will be the first model of the "Neue Klasse" in Brazil, debuting an 800V platform capable of charging at 400 kW
BMW has confirmed the arrival of the new iX3 in the Brazilian market in 2026, marking what the manufacturer classifies as the beginning of a deep technological transition in the country. The electric SUV, which is already in the final stages of homologation in the national territory, is the first representative of the “Neue Klasse” family to land here. More than a new SUV, the vehicle debuts an architecture developed exclusively for electric propulsion, breaking with the previous strategy of adapting chassis from combustion models.

Visually, the iX3 proposes a minimalist aesthetic that will serve as a guide for BMW’s design in the coming years. The interior was designed under the premise of a “digital landscape”, where technology acts in an integrated way without compromising the driver’s focus. The main technological leap is the BMW Panoramic iDrive: a data projection that occupies the entire lower length of the windshield, allowing information to be in the line of sight of all occupants and eliminating the excess of physical buttons.
The model is equipped with the sixth generation of BMW eDrive powertrain technology, which focuses on the balance between high performance and energy efficiency. Connectivity has also been expanded with the new BMW Operating System X operating system, which synchronizes interior lighting, sound and visual interface in a customizable way, transforming the cabin into an immersive environment that adapts to the driver’s profile.

In mechanics, the 800V architecture allows ultra-fast charging of up to 400 kW in direct current. This system makes it possible to recover hundreds of kilometers of autonomy in a few minutes, directly attacking consumer resistance to recharging time on long trips. With the iX3, BMW signals that the future of premium mobility in Brazil will be guided by details such as sustainability and the total digitalization of the driving experience.
