Finished in genuine wood and massage leather, the Infiniti model abandons the third row of seats to focus on extreme luxury
Infiniti — Nissan’s luxury sub-brand — made official the expansion of its portfolio with the launch of the new Infiniti QX65, a luxury SUV with a fastback silhouette that should arrive at dealerships in the United States later this year. The model reinforces the brand’s strategy in the disputed premium SUV segment, betting on a sporty profile look to attract consumers looking for design to the detriment of the third row of seats.
Unlike the QX60, from which it derives, the QX65 focuses on a two-row configuration to prioritize comfort and cargo volume. Under the hood, the vehicle uses the 2.0 turbo four-cylinder engine with variable compression technology (VC-Turbo), capable of delivering 268 hp of power and 38,7 kgfm. The mechanical assembly is completed by a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system as standard in all variants.

The design follows the evolution of the “Artistry in Motion” language, with a three-dimensional front grille and a new paint shade, Sunfire red, inherited from special editions of the Nissan GT-R. The design of the taillights and the trim of the roof are references to the classic Infiniti FX, a model that helped define sports SUVs in the early 2000s. Inside, the cabin features two 12.3″ screens with native integration into the Google ecosystem.

The line will be divided into three versions. The Luxe configuration opens the range with 20″ wheels and three-zone air conditioning. The intermediate Sport adopts a darkened exterior finish. The top-of-the-line Autograph offers the ultimate in sophistication, including 21″ wheels, contrasting roof and semi-aniline leather seats with massage function and real wood details.
In terms of versatility, the utility vehicle has 1,902 liters of cargo volume with the seats folded down and a towing capacity of 2.7 tons. In the American market, prices start at US$ 56.990 in the entry-level version and reach US$ 64.135 in the most luxurious package.
