To gain competitiveness, Nissan removes the technological package of intermediate versions of the Kait and bets on cost-benefit against compact rivals
Nissan has announced an expansion of the Kait catalog for the Brazilian market. The Japanese automaker’s strategy focuses on expanding mid-range options, introducing variants that prioritize cost-effectiveness over advanced technological packages. With the arrival of the new configurations, the model now has six versions, maintaining the price range between R$ 117.990 and R$ 152.490.
The new variants, named Sense and Advance, arrive to fill strategic gaps below the already known “Plus” versions: Sense Plus and Advance Plus, with the main difference in the absence of the Nissan Safety Shield, the Kait’s active driver assistance package. By removing items such as the forward collision alert and the emergency braking assistant, the brand was able to reduce the final price by up to R$ 2.800, aiming to attract consumers looking for a robust utility, but with a more restricted budget.

The Kait Sense version (R$ 136.990) preserves essential passive safety equipment, such as six airbags, as well as full LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and a face-to-face key. The Kait Advance option (R$ 146.990) focuses on interior comfort, maintaining the 7-inch digital panel, 9-inch multimedia center with wireless mirroring and induction charger, but also giving up the driving assistance sensors present in the Advance Plus version.

Under the hood, the Kait is still equipped with the 1.6-liter aspirated engine with 113 hp and 15,2 kgfm of torque, coupled to the simulated six-speed CVT transmission. It is worth remembering that the Kait is a profound evolution of the old Kicks Play, bringing not only the updated look, but improvements to the rear suspension. With new shock absorbers and springs, the SUV seeks to offer greater stability and comfort on Brazilian asphalt.
