Hyundai is already preparing a deep aesthetic and mechanical overhaul for the next generation of the Creta, with a launch projected for mid-2028, according to the South Korean press. The compact SUV will abandon the current lines to adopt the futuristic visual identity of the Ioniq electric family. In addition to the design turnaround, the new iteration of the vehicle will mark the introduction of unprecedented hybrid and 100% electric powertrain options.

The aesthetic break will be complete, with the Hyundai Crater concept as its main inspiration, unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of 2025.

Projections by the South Korean designer @nymammoth anticipate the silhouette of the future generation. The images show a Creta aligned with the company’s global electric vehicles. The visual highlight is concentrated in the front dominated by dotted LEDs integrated into the grille and headlights, a luminous feature that the manufacturer calls “Parametric Pixels”.

Another detail that will make its debut in the national SUV is the change of the traditional logo. The chrome and stylized “H” will give way to four small square blocks, a signature that represents the company’s initial letter in morse code — a solution already used internationally in the Ioniq 5. In Brazil, the public had an initial contact with this design language in November, during the São Paulo Motor Show, with the exhibition of the unprecedented Ioniq 9.

The redesign of the Creta is part of a global guideline that will also shape future generations of larger models, such as the Tucson and Kona. In the domestic market, to pave this portfolio transition, Hyundai is preparing the introduction of the compact Bayon. Positioned as an entry-level alternative, the crossover is expected to debut in the second half of the year and hit stores in early 2027, equipped with a flex mild hybrid system.
