The Lamborghini Revuelto, hybrid successor to the iconic Aventador, has just registered its fourth official recall for repairs. Despite its ultra-luxury and price tag that exceeds half a million dollars on the international market, the supercar has faced a string of technical problems since its debut. The recall of the time refers to an anomaly in the software of the multimedia system, which can compromise rear visibility in maneuvers.

The identified flaw prevents the reversing camera image from being projected onto the center panel under specific conditions, violating U.S. road safety regulations, which require immediate display of the rear field of view.

The logic of error and troubled history

According to the automaker’s technical report, the bug occurs when the driver turns the vehicle off and on again in a short interval, less than three minutes, and engages reverse gear soon after. In this fast reboot scenario, the system may fail to load the camera interface. Given the virtually zero rear visibility of the Revuelto’s mid-engine design, the absence of electronic assistance poses a real risk of low-speed collisions.

This episode adds to a recent list of model QA failures. Previously, Revuelto had already been summoned to correct passenger airbag attachment problems, leaks in the fuel line and malfunction in the windshield wiper engine — the latter can stop working precisely during heavy rains.

Software correction

At this stage, the recall affects a specific batch of units manufactured between 2024 and 2025. Lamborghini informed that the correction does not require the replacement of physical components, and a software update is enough that must be carried out free of charge at authorized dealerships.

The brand will notify owners via mail and the official app. To reassure future buyers, the automaker assured that the vehicles that are currently leaving the production line already have the corrected system, eliminating the risk of recurrence of the defect in new deliveries.
