The brand's entry-level model debuts at the Brussels Motor Show with a design that prioritizes interior space and fast charging
Kia officially unveiled the EV2 during the Brussels Motor Show in Belgium. It is a compact SUV developed to be the brand’s entry model in electrification. With production confirmed at the Slovakia plant from 2026, the vehicle is committed to optimizing interior space and competitive autonomy to attract the urban public.

The EV2 will be offered with two battery options. The entry-level version has 42.2 kWh, while the long-range configuration has 62 kWh, capable of delivering a range of up to 448 km in the WLTP cycle. The electrical system allows fast charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
Despite its compact dimensions — 4,135 mm long, 1,545 mm high and 2,560 mm wheelbase — the model offers a trunk of 403 liters (VDA standard), a value above the segment average.

Visually, the SUV adopts the brand’s “Opposites United” philosophy, with geometric shapes and the “Star Map” light signature. The interior follows the concept curiously named “picnic box”, prioritizing the vertical use of space. The dashboard is dominated by a triple panoramic screen, which integrates the 12.3″ instrument panel, a 5″ climate screen and the 12.3″ multimedia system.
Among the technological features, the EV2 includes the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) system, which allows you to energize external appliances, and the unprecedented “Pet Mode”, which adjusts the cabin’s climate for pets while the vehicle is parked.
In addition to the entry-level model, Kia has confirmed the expansion of its high-performance range. The brand announced the launch of GT versions for the EV3, EV4 and EV5 models. These configurations will have dual-motor all-wheel drive and an electronically controlled suspension system focused on sporty performance.
