With 317 hp and all-wheel drive, 'hot hatch' arrives in February to compete in the niche of luxury compact sports cars
BMW has defined what will be its first bet for the Brazilian market in 2026. The German automaker confirmed the import of the new BMW M135 xDrive: a model that arrives in the country to compete in the restricted — but prestigious — niche of premium “hot hatches”. The official launch is scheduled for February, inaugurating the brand’s novelty cycle for the year.

The focus of the M135 xDrive is on the driving experience, distancing itself from the conventional versions of the 1 Series. Under the hood, the hatch houses a four-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, calibrated to deliver 317 hp of power. The mechanical assembly works associated with the automatic transmission and the xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system, capable of distributing torque between the wheels to maximize grip in curves.
The track numbers preliminarily released by the manufacturer indicate an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. To support this performance, the model received specific chassis adjustments signed by the brand’s sports division, including adaptive suspension and a high-performance braking system.

Visually, the M135 is distinguished by its front grille with an exclusive design, quadruple exhaust outlets (characteristic of the M line) and functional aerodynamic elements. Although BMW Brazil still maintains secrecy about the closed list of standard equipment and the final price for the domestic market, the confirmation of the launch reinforces the company’s commitment to keeping alive the offer of high-performance combustion sports cars in the country.
