New kits from the Brick Shop line bring hinged doors and include miniature metal Hot Wheels in the box — with the promise of costing less
Mattel Brick Shop has expanded its line of building blocks with the launch of two new 1:32 scale kits. This time, the models that make up the line are the Honda Civic EF 1990 and the Honda S2000 2007. The line is a direct competitor to Lego models, focused on fidelity to real vehicles and more affordable values for the consumer. The kits are recommended for children from 10 years old and collectors, and are already available in physical stores and online channels.

The new Honda Series assemblies offer a detailed assembly experience. The Honda S2000 consists of 257 parts and includes accessories such as a spoiler, windshield, and two distinct wheel designs.

The Civic EF kit has 248 pieces and pays homage to the tuner culture of the 90s, featuring flared fenders and wheels that imitate the classic TE37 in bronze tone.

Mattel Brick Shop models feature hinged doors, two sets of hubcaps and metal nameplate.
In addition, Mattel has included decals and stickers so that customization is possible. An important differential is the inclusion of an exclusive gift: each kit comes with a Hot Wheels car identical to the model to be assembled, taking advantage of the brand’s tradition to strengthen the new line of blocks.
The Brick Shop line already has a varied portfolio, including models such as Audi RS2 Avant, Maserati MC20, 1968 Chevrolet Camaro and the 1990 Acura NSX. The manufacturer also offers options in larger scales, such as 1:16 and 1:12.
