From 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and 355 km recharge in just 15 minutes: meet Mercedes' ambitious "8-seater limousine"
Mercedes-Benz has ushered in a new era in its passenger van segment with the launch of the Mercedes-Benz VLE, the first vehicle built on the dedicated VAN architecture. EA. Defined by the German manufacturer as a “Grand Limousine”, the electric model seeks to break the traditional boundaries of the sector by fusing the driving refinement of a luxury sedan with the spaciousness of an executive van, accommodating up to eight occupants.
The technical backbone of the VLE lies in its 800-volt architecture: equipped with a 115 kWh battery, the model achieves a range of more than 700 km in the WLTP cycle. The highlight, however, is energy efficiency: the system allows you to recover 355 km of range in just 15 minutes of recharging at high-power charging stations.

In the top-of-the-line variant, VLE 400 4MATIC, the two engines deliver 408 hp, taking the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. To facilitate the handling of a generously sized vehicle, Mercedes has adopted the AIRMATIC air suspension and the rear-axle steering with steering of up to 7º. The technology reduces the turning radius to 10.9 meters, giving the utility vehicle a maneuverability equivalent to that of a compact car in garages and urban centers. The aerodynamic design also impresses, with a drag coefficient (Cx) of just 0.25.

The cabin of the van is managed by the MB operating system. OS. The dashboard — dubbed MBUX Superscreen — integrates three screens under a single piece of glass, while rear passengers have a 31.3″ retractable screen with 8K resolution. The experience is enhanced by generative artificial intelligence, including integration with Google Gemini for complex voice commands.
Interior versatility is guaranteed by the “Roll & Go” system, which allows the manual seats to be moved or removed with minimal effort, bringing the cargo volume from 795 litres to an impressive 4,078 litres. With a panoramic roof and fully retractable side windows, the VLE consolidates itself as the new standard for luxury transport on demand.
