The brand's classics division now offers genuine reproduction parts and service packages that can exceed US$ 134 thousand
Honda has announced the expansion of its historic preservation program, Honda Heritage Parts, with a full focus on the first generation of the iconic Acura NSX. The initiative, coordinated by the Honda Heritage Works division, aims to ensure that the 1990s sports car — famous for Ayrton Senna’s technical advice in its development — remains in circulation with original components and factory restoration services.
The program was structured in two pillars of supply. The first involves Genuine Reproduction Parts, manufactured with the same molds and specifications of the time. The second focuses on Compatible Parts, modern components developed to replace items whose original assembly line was extinguished, maintaining the functional integrity of the vehicle.

Parts can be ordered directly from the U.S. Acura dealer network starting next semester. While the full price list for the individual components has yet to be released, the automaker has detailed the values of the full restoration packages carried out at its specialized facilities in Japan and the US.
The basic renovation service, which includes deep mechanical overhaul and replacement of seals, starts at US$ 70 thousand (about R$ 385 thousand). For collectors looking for the “zero kilometer” state, the brand offers large additions: a complete body repaint costs US$ 41 thousand, while the total renovation of the interior adds another US$ 23 thousand to the bill. Together, the services reach US$ 134,000, equivalent to about R$ 700,000.

With this move, Honda joins other Japanese manufacturers, such as Toyota and Nissan, who have turned nostalgia into a lucrative niche market, ensuring the longevity of their most iconic models for future generations of enthusiasts.
