Update brings the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and 1,500 hp electric prototype, as well as new models from Porsche and Hyundai
The Gran Turismo franchise broke a historical geographical barrier in its January update. For the first time in almost three decades of existence, Polyphony Digital’s simulator included a car from a Chinese manufacturer in its catalog: the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. The novelty, released this Wednesday (29), signals the recognition of the rise of China’s automotive industry in the global high-performance scenario.
The debut does not take place with a conventional touring model, but with the tech giant’s high-performance prototype. The SU7 Ultra arrives in the game boasting superlative numbers that justify its inclusion: there are three electric motors that generate 1,548 hp, capable of taking the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds. The presence of the model reinforces Xiaomi’s strategy to compete directly with traditional brands such as Porsche in the electric sports segment.

In addition to the Chinese landmark, the update renews the grid of touring car competitions. The package introduces the Porsche 911 GT3 R (generation 992), replacing the old 991 chassis, and adds the Hyundai Elantra N TC, strengthening the presence of the South Korean brand’s sports division in the game.
For challenge-oriented players, the update expands the event calendar with three new races on iconic circuits: World Touring Car 600 at the Nürburgring, World Touring Car 700 at Spa-Francorchamps and World Touring Car 800 at the challenging Mount Panorama track in Australia. Another technical addition is the Extra Menu No. 44 in the Café, dedicated to collectors of “Ferrari Speciale” models.
Finally, update 1.67 improves the photo mode (Scapes) with the “California Roadsides” scenario. The location recreates the atmosphere of Walnut Avenue in Huntington Beach (USA), allowing static records with the new fleet available.
