Geely announced an important update to the multimedia center of the EX2 electric compact, which will now have mirroring via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The measure aims to correct one of the main criticisms of the model, but it comes up against a technical limitation: unlike competitors who perform updates via the internet, the procedure will require a face-to-face visit to the authorized network.

The integration will be available for free from February 27. To install the software, owners of vehicles already sold must schedule the service at one of the brand’s 23 dealerships in operation in the country.

Launched in November with prices between R$ 119.990 and R$ 135.000, the EX2 competes directly with BYD’s Dolphin Mini and Dolphin models. Although the original multimedia was praised for its fluidity in previous evaluations, the absence of native cell phone projection was seen as a usability bottleneck compared to Chinese rivals.

The move comes amid sales growth. In December, the hatch registered 1.5 thousand registrations, occupying the 38th position in the national general ranking. In 2025, the licensed volume has already reached 2,442 units, consolidating the brand as one of the protagonists among entry-level electric vehicles.
