The Chinese manufacturer GAC has started its operation in the subscription car market in Brazil. In partnership with LM Mobility, the brand integrated the GS4 hybrid SUV into the LM SigninCar One program. The strategy aims to offer an alternative to the traditional purchase, allowing the use of the vehicle through monthly payments starting at R$ 4,990, with exemption from costs such as IPVA, insurance and maintenance.

The business model eliminates the need for down payment and financing interest, focusing on the predictability of expenses. The customer can opt for 12, 24 or 36-month contracts. The package includes, in addition to the use of the car, all bureaucratic management: documentation, licensing, preventive inspections and 24-hour assistance are covered by the single installment.

The GS4 Elite, the version available in the program, is a full hybrid (HEV) that does not require external charging. The mechanical set combines a 2.0-liter gasoline engine (140 hp) with an electric powertrain (182 hp), delivering a combined power of 235 hp. According to Inmetro data, the SUV registers consumption of 14.1 km/l in the city and 11.8 km/l on the highway, equipped with a two-speed DHT automatic transmission and a 2.1 kWh battery.

Interested parties can now hire the service through the LM AssineCar website. The price list is regressive according to the length of the contract: the 12-month plan costs R$ 6.499 per month; the 24-month one costs R$ 5.499; and the longest contract, of 36 months, reduces the installment to R$ 4,990.

For Danilo Rodil, GAC’s commercial director, the entry into the rental segment reflects the company’s search for new consumer profiles, in line with global mobility trends. The view is shared by Ricardo Soeiro, CEO of LM Mobility, who highlights the demand from demanding customers for convenience and premium experiences without owning the asset.
