The Brentwood Police in Tennessee (USA) have officially closed the investigation into the physical confrontation between actor Alan Ritchson and his neighbor, Ronnie Taylor. After reviewing new evidence, authorities and the local Prosecutor’s Office concluded that the actor — who participated in the “Fast and Furious” franchise — acted in self-defense during the incident that occurred on March 22, 2026.

The outcome of the case, confirmed at the end of March, was determined mainly by images recorded by a body camera used by the actor himself and by videos of witnesses. The records revealed that Taylor purposely blocked the road to interrupt the ride of Ritchson and his children, who used Kawasaki motorcycles in the condominium. According to the police report, the neighbor instigated the conflict by pushing the actor and knocking him off his motorcycle before any physical reaction.

Although the initial images released by the TMZ portal showed Ritchson striking Taylor, the new details of the investigation pointed out that the neighbor challenged the actor to the fight. Taylor later admitted to initiating physical contact because he was bothered by the noise and speed of the bikes. In a statement, the resident stated that his only intention was to ensure the “safety of the neighborhood”.

On March 26, Ronnie Taylor formally dropped all complaints against the artist. Brentwood Police reported that there was no exchange of financial values or compensation between the parties for the closure of the litigation. Ritchson, who suffered minor abrasions on his elbow and thumb injuries from the fall, also chose not to sue his neighbor for damages or slander.

With the case closed, the actor returned to the recordings of the fourth season of the series “Reacher”. In a recent statement on social networks, Ritchson minimized the episode, classifying it as an isolated situation of community conflict that was clarified by the transparency of digital evidence.
