Chinese automaker Foton announced the launch of seven new 100% electric commercial vehicles in the Brazilian market, expanding its commitment to the decarbonization of cargo transport in the country. The new fleet ranges from mini-trucks and vans to light trucks, with a focus on meeting the growing demand for energy efficiency and reducing operating costs in urban and intercity logistics.

To sustain the expansion and simultaneous launch, the company plans to exceed the mark of 100 dealerships in the country by 2026, with specialized technical support and centralized supply at its distribution center in Itajaí (SC).

One of the highlights for the so-called “last mile” logistics is the eWonder mini-truck . Developed for the intense routine of large centers, the model delivers 102 hp of power and torque of 22.4 kgfm. According to Inmetro, the autonomy is 189 km, with fast recharging that allows reaching 80% of the battery capacity in 36 minutes. The suggested price is R$ 235.900.

In the van segment, strongly driven by the expansion of online commerce, Foton presented the eView and eToano lines. The eView Grand draws attention for its extended range of 303 km (WLTP cycle) and prices starting at R$ 299.900. The eToano Pro, aimed at bulkier operations, offers up to 12.2 m³ of useful volume and comes standard with an ADAS package, with blind spot alert and autonomous braking.

Light trucks and partnership with CATL

The eAumark line seals the brand’s debut in the electric light truck segment in Brazil. The models come in versions of 6, 9 and 12 tons of Total Gross Weight (GVW). The top-of-the-line eAumark 12T is equipped with a robust 162.28 kWh battery, designed to withstand heavier operations and maintain freight competitiveness.

As standard for the entire new fleet, the vehicles use lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by CATL, the current world leader in the sector. To convey safety to fleet owners, Foton offers a three-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty for vehicles, in addition to extended coverage for high-voltage batteries that can reach eight years or 400,000 kilometers.
