The last street model with a W16 engine, the Mistral 'Caroline' brings floral customization and unique finish in honor of a customer's daughter
Bugatti presented the W16 Mistral ‘Caroline’, a unique example developed by the Sur Mesure customization division that ends the trajectory of the iconic W16 8.0 engine in street models. Ordered by a customer as a gift for his daughter, the 1,600 hp hypercar breaks with the investment logic common to the segment, which prioritizes neutral colors to preserve resale value, by adopting an aesthetic inspired by the lavender fields of Provence.

The roadster’s exterior design combines the “Provence” tone with a technical innovation in the application of composite materials. The aerodynamic components, such as bumpers and side skirts, were made of carbon fiber with violet pigmentation injected directly into the weave, in a complex process that gives visual depth to the exposed piece.

The exclusivity of the tribute is reinforced by details such as the brake calipers painted in the same palette and the inscription “Caroline” under the rear wing, accompanied by floral graphics in purple on a white background — an aesthetic choice that reinforces the strictly personal character of the project.

Inside, the cabin was covered with leather in Blanc and Minuit colors. The highlight is the handmade floral embroidery on the door panels and in the central tunnel, mimicking the external look. In keeping with the tradition of the Molsheim manufacturer, the gear lever features the “Dancing Elephant” sculpture encrusted in a block of glass, a reference to the Type 41 Royale.
