Owners should schedule free repair immediately; ABS module problem can compromise vehicle safety
Jeep do Brasil announced the call for a recall involving three models of large SUVs to correct two different safety flaws. The call, which covers vehicles manufactured between 2018 and 2021, warns of defects ranging from the loss of braking assistance to the absence of crucial warnings on the instrument panel — situations that can compromise the physical integrity of occupants.

The most critical issue affects the active security system. The automaker has identified a possible malfunction in the integrated pressure transducer, a vital component for the operation of ABS brakes and electronic stability control (ESC).
In a statement, the company recognizes that the failure can lead to the involuntary deactivation of these systems, significantly increasing the risk of collisions with material, physical or even fatal damage. Owners of the following models, both manufactured in 2018, must attend dealerships:

The second defect concerns the legal and diagnostic compliance of the vehicle. It has been found that the instrument panel software may fail when the electronic injection and on-board diagnostics (OBD) warning light does not turn on in the event of an engine failure. Without this mandatory visual alert, the driver travels without knowing that the vehicle has problems, which can aggravate mechanical damage and increase pollutant emissions.
This specific flaw affects the Jeep Wrangler, with chassis (last 8 digits) between JW251736 and MW700626, encompassing units produced between 2018 and 2021.

The repair, which consists of replacing the component or updating software, takes about an hour and is free, as determined by the Consumer Protection Code. Scheduling must be done at the Jeep dealership network or through official channels: telephone 0800-703-7150 and the manufacturer’s website.
