Brazil consolidated its prominent position in the executive aviation market by receiving the world’s first unit of the Airbus ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition helicopter. Valued at R$ 78.6 million, the ultra-luxury aircraft is the result of an exclusive collaboration between the aeronautical manufacturer and the German automaker, and was delivered to an unidentified Brazilian customer. The complexity of the project limited initial production to just four orders worldwide.

The design of the model was premised on bringing the visual identity and comfort of Mercedes-Benz cars to the air. The interior design of the cabin mimics the finishing pattern of iconic vehicles of the brand. The seat upholstery, roof and center console adopt textures, rounded lines and the characteristic diamond stitching pattern that refers directly to models such as the Mercedes-AMG G 63 SUV and the EQS electric SUV.

Craftsmanship standard and aeronautical rigor

Externally, the helicopter displays a two-tone paint marked by a “black mask” that wraps around the glazed area and stretches along the sides, giving a dynamic aspect to the fuselage. The customization process requires precision craftsmanship combined with rigorous aeronautical certification, ensuring that luxury materials do not compromise the ideal weight or flight safety. The manufacture of the internal components alone takes about four months, followed by two weeks for the final assembly of the cabin.

Performance and exclusivity

In the mechanical part, the base of the ACH145 was maintained. The aircraft is powered by two Safran Arriel 2E turboshaft engines, which deliver 906 hp of maximum power at takeoff. With the capacity to comfortably carry up to eight passengers, the model reaches a cruising speed of 241 km/h and has a range of 650 km — the equivalent of about three and a half hours of non-stop flight. Currently, the waiting list to acquire a copy exceeds two years.
