iX1, iX2 and iX3 models receive improvements in propulsion, charging and customization technology from the next quarter of 2026
BMW has announced a comprehensive update to its electric vehicle range for the first half of 2026, with a focus on greater energy efficiency, extended range and new standard and optional content.
The BMW iX1 and iX2 now have improved power electronics. In the iX1 eDrive20, the adoption of inverters with silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors reduces consumption in the WLTP cycle and increases the range by more than 40 kilometers. The same technology will be applied to the iX2 eDrive20, ensuring similar gains.
