New BMW M2 M Performance Track kit brings racing suspension to the streets and reduces weight with titanium and carbon components
BMW this week unveiled the M Performance Dash kit for the M2 coupe — a set of modifications designed to transfer technologies from the track directly to the street model. With a focus on advanced aerodynamics and chassis dynamics, the package prioritizes reducing lap time on circuits without changing the original specifications of the 3.0-liter biturbo engine. The official launch takes place in July, with a price set at 23.500 euros in Germany (about R$ 145.700 in direct conversion).
The differential of the update lies in the integration of components from the GT3 and GT4 categories. The structure seeks to optimize stability at high speeds through a new front splitter and a “swan neck” type rear wing. In track mode, the splitter works in conjunction with the diffuser to maximise downforce, while the rear wing – inherited from the M3 and M4 racing models – incorporates a third brake light to maintain European urban homologation.

For the first time, the brand’s sports division offers four-level adjustable race shock absorbers (compression and rebound) for a passenger vehicle. The kit allows you to reduce the height of the chassis by up to 20 millimeters and includes optimized air ducts for the oil cooler. For the M2 CS, BMW also offers a titanium and carbon fiber exhaust system, reducing the total weight of the set by 8 kg.

Complementing the offensive, the brand presented the M2 Racing, an exclusive version for racetracks and not authorized for the streets, priced at 98,000 euros (approximately R$ 607,600). The strategy reinforces the positioning of the M2 as a gateway to BMW M’s professional motorsport, combining the versatility of everyday use with extreme performance on demand.
