Screw defect can cause component breakage and loss of control in models that exceed 700 hp; Aston Martin DBX exceeds R$ 3 million in Brazil
British manufacturer Aston Martin has made official the call for two global recalls for its Aston Martin DBX SUV, reaching a total of 5,028 units. The safety campaign, prompted by separate flaws, focuses on a critical structural defect in the rear suspension and a configuration error in the software that monitors tire pressure.
The most severe problem affects 3,937 units produced between 2021 and 2026, encompassing the conventional versions, the top-of-the-line DBX707 and the new DBX S variant. According to the automaker, the failure originates from a design change made in 2019, which replaced the original screw with one with a smaller diameter, compromising the fixation of the assembly under high stress conditions.
The severity of the component is accentuated by the performance of the vehicle, which in the 707 version delivers 707 hp and 91,8 kgfm. A sudden break at high speeds can compromise the dynamic stability of the luxury SUV.

The brand’s internal investigation has been intensified after reports of incidents in Europe, including an accident in Germany in 2024. At the time, the suspension collapse hit the brake line, resulting in partial loss of braking and collision. As a repair, dealerships will replace the bolts with larger diameter models, as well as inspect for possible cracks in the suspension arms.
The second recall involves 1,091 units of the 2025 and 2026 line due to a software error in the TPMS system. The failure prevents the driver from receiving alerts in the event of a gradual loss of tire pressure. The correction consists of a quick digital update, estimated at 12 minutes. In the Brazilian market, where the model is sold for values that exceed R$ 3 million, owners must contact the authorized network to verify the need for the service.
