An English car produced in Ceará? That’s almost it. The traditional English brand MG, initials of Morris Garage, was acquired a few years ago by one of the largest, if not the largest, Chinese car factory, SAIC, which has now brought some of its models to Brazil. A hatchback, an SUV and a roadster – two-seater convertible.

Initially imported, some of the MG will be produced at the factory that was owned by Troller in Ceará and acquired by a group from Espírito Santo, Comexport, which already has a contract with GM to produce the electric Spark and has now closed with SAIC to assemble its models there as well.

All coming from China, those from GM and those from SAIC, in the regime called CKD or completely dismantled.
