Those who have an electric car and live in an apartment in São Paulo, already breathe a sigh of relief with the law approved now that allows the installation of individual or collective charging points next to parking spaces.

There are, of course, several requirements to be followed. It is forbidden to use a portable charger that plugs directly into the outlet, as they are more subject to the risk of fire, and the condominium may also have to agree with the electricity distribution company to adapt the building’s electrical installation to the amperage requirements to power the chargers.

Other Brazilian cities are anxiously awaiting the same legislation.
