In Brazil, VW lags behind in partnership with Chinese companies

While Stellantis, Ford and Chevrolet appeal to Chinese cars to be competitive, Volkswagen still makes its own bet

The first was Ford with the Territory SUV, but now GM is importing and already assembling the Spark here. Stellantis has established a partnership in China with Leapmotor and is already selling its cars here as well.

But if Caoa was the pioneer in producing Chery models here a few years ago, the most backward in this process is Volkswagen. And it joined with the Chinese Xpeng, so technological that it even makes “cars that fly”, but it has not yet landed here, as Volkswagen has only announced hybrid cars for this year, for now.
